Configuring Members Settings

    CONFIGURING MEMBERS SETTINGS

    Members Settings configures account-based security access, the user sign-up process, and the portal's Terms & Conditions.

    Requirements

    To configure Members Settings, users must be assigned a security role with the following permissions:

    • Administrator System Role

    TO CONFIGURE MEMBERS SETTINGS:

    1. In the Setup Home page, click Manage > Company Preferences.
    2. Click Edit.
    3. Select the Members Settings Tab. Configure the following fields and then click Save.

    Site Self-Registration Settings

    Enable and manage self-registration settings.

    • Allow Self Registration: Check this box to allow your users to self-register as a member of your portal.
    • Default Role: Select the default role users will have when they self-register.
    • Reuse Contacts by Email: If you select this option, users will be connected with a Contact that has a matching email address.
    • Enable Captcha: If you select this option, users will need to use Captcha word verification in order to register.
    • Bucket Account ID: This is the ID of the Account to which self-registered users will be linked.
    • Custom Sign Up Page: This Active Pages lookup field allows you to select and use a custom sign-up page that you have created.
    • Custom Login Page: This Active Pages lookup field allows you to select and use a custom login page that you have created.

    Site Terms and Conditions

    Manage and customize Terms and Conditions for your portal. 

    • User must accept Terms & Conditions: If you want users to accept the portal Terms & Conditions upon registration, check this option.
    • Terms & Conditions- Select one of the following options:
      • Use built-in Terms & Conditions page: The portal uses the built-in Terms & Conditions page provided by the Magentrix platform.
      • Use a custom Active Page as Terms & Conditions page: The portal uses a custom Active Page created and hosted within the Magentrix platform as the Terms & Conditions page.
      • Link to an external page as Terms & Conditions page: Provide a link to a Terms & Conditions page hosted on an external site.
    • Privacy Page- Select one of the following options:
      • Use built-in Privacy page: The portal uses the built-in Privacy page provided by the Magentrix platform.
      • Use a custom Active Page as Privacy page: The portal uses a custom Active Page created and hosted within the Magentrix platform as the Privacy page.
      • Link to an external page as Privacy page: Provide a link to a Privacy page hosted on an external site.
