ABOUT THE DOCUMENTS LIBRARY MODULE
The Documents Library module stores and manages files in folders uploaded to the Magentrix portal. The Documents Library module acts as a data storage repository on the Magentrix portal. Social collaboration can be enabled with the Documents Library module.
Any file type can be saved directly to the Documents Library. When a file is saved directly to the portal, its file size counts as part of the Magentrix portal file storage space limit. Alternatively, files in the Documents Library can be links to an external site to prevent using Magentrix portal storage space. The Magentrix platform currently supports hosting YouTube and Vimeo videos as files in the Documents Library.
Folders are used in the Documents Library to organize files for reading and sharing. Folder owners and portal administrators can specify the users that can access a folder and the files contained therein. When browsing the Documents Library, the icon on the folders shows what the sharing permissions are on the folder. A globe indicates that the folder is public, silhouettes indicate that the folder has been shared with selected users, and a blank folder indicates that the folder is private.
In the top bar, click on the graph icon to access the Documents Dashboard. Administrators can see statistics regarding document storage and conversions as well as which users are uploading and downloading the most files. These views can be shown for all time, the last month or the current month. Further usage reports can also be found under the Reports tab.
