If you need to auto-generate an XML sitemap for your Magentrix public-facing portal, follow these steps!
- Create an account on the Sitemap Pro website. This is an external site that will allow you to generate an XML sitemap.
Pro-Sitemap provides a web crawler that can scan your public pages on a daily basis and generate up-to-date sitemaps. - Add the site name and the URL of your public-facing portal. This can be done for as many portals as you want.
- Visit the API section on the Pro-Sitemap Control Panel. The site will generate a callback URL, a Site ID and an API key for each of the sites you provide.
- Return to your Magentrix site. In the Setup Home page, click on Extend > Connected Apps. Click New to create a new integration.
- In the "Choose Integration Type" page, select API Provider, then click Next.
- In the "Select Authentication Type" page, select OAuth, then click Next.
- In the "Provide the Authorization Information" page, enter a name in the Name field (typically Sitemap).
- In the Service field, enter your Sitemap Pro callback URL.
- In the Consumer Key field, enter your Sitemap Pro Site ID.
- In the Consumer Secret, enter your Sitemap Pro API key. Click Save.
- Contact Magentrix Support. The process will be completed and you will be contacted your sitemap auto-generation is complete.
