Using the Translation Studio

    USING THE TRANSLATION STUDIO

    The Magentrix platform includes the Translation Studio — a customizable translation engine that allows administrators to manage how elements of the portal are translated into different languages. Administrators can use the Translation Studio to specify how the names for portal components like Tabs, Apps, and Entities are translated in specified languages.

    Note: Inline text will be automatically translated.

    Requirements

    To use the Translation Studio, users must be assigned a security role with the following permissions:

    • Administrator System Role
    Note: Custom Labels defined in the Layout Designer cannot be translated through the Translation Studio.

    TO USE THE TRANSLATION STUDIO:

    1. In the Setup Home page, click Manage > Language Settings.
    2. Click Translation Studio.
    3. In the Language dropdown list, select the language for which you want to specify a translation.
    4. In the Components pane, select a portal component.
    5. In the Translations pane, click the Translation Value field beside a portal component.
    6. Enter a translation and then click Save.
    7. Repeat steps 4-6 for every portal component you want to translate.
