Uploading Attachments to Articles

It is possible to upload files as attachments to articles and set them to be publicly or privately accessible. Attachments may be useful to give additional information that you may not be able to convey or give to readers directly within your article.

    To Upload An Article Attachment:

    1. Login as a publisher or contributor.
    2. Navigate to your article and click the Edit button.
    3. At the top click the Attachments tab, then click Attach File.
    4. Select the file(s) you want to attach, then click Open.
Remember to Save and Publish your article for readers to see the attachment(s).

You can also link external files or pages to your articles. Follow the same steps above, but click Link File instead of Attach File. Then enter the URL of the file/page and click Save.

Note: To view linked attachments, users will need viewing permissions for linked files and for the Note and Attachment entity.

You may want to make an attachment private and visible to only yourself i.e. drafts and resources.

    1. Navigate to your article, then click the Edit button.
    2. At the top click the Attachments tab, then for the desired file click the Actions button, and select Edit.
    3. Check the 'Private' checkbox and then click Save.
