How to Resend Activation Emails for Users

     

    If a user didn't receive their activation email or it expired, you can manually resend it using the Reset Password function. This triggers the system to regenerate and send a new activation email with login credentials.

    How to Resend the Activation Email

    1. Go to Setup Home page > Security > Manage Users
    2. Search for and click on the user's name
    3. Click More Actions > Reset Password
    4. Confirm the action

    Result: The system automatically sends an activation email to the user's email address.

    Important Notes

    How it works: For users who haven't activated their accounts yet, "Reset Password" generates an activation email (not a password reset email). The system recognizes they need activation credentials.

    User must be Active: The user account must be set to Active status for the email to send.

    Check the email address: Verify the correct email address is in the user's profile before sending.

    Troubleshooting

    User didn't receive the email: Ask them to check spam/junk folders. Verify the email address is correct in their profile.

    Can't find Reset Password option: Confirm you have Administrator permissions and you're on the user's profile page (not the user list).

    Link doesn't work: Activation links may expire. Resend using the same process above.
