Viewing Magentrix Course Progress in Salesforce

A community user’s Magentrix LMS course progress can be tracked through their contact record’s page layout in your Salesforce environment. You can also view their certification status, start dates, completion dates, and compliance expiration dates.

The course progress of a community user is also visible in the context of their account record’s page layout. This related list compiles the progress of other community users in their organization and provides you a holistic view of your partners and customers. This data can be used to quickly view the progress of their partner tiering certification or product expertise.

For this view to be available, the prerequisites are:

• The Magentrix package is installed on your Salesforce environment
• Magentrix Elite edition
• Salesforce Enterprise or Unlimited editions

No additional fields are required to be created in Salesforce.

Configuring the Contact Page Layout to View Course Progress in Salesforce

Follow the below steps in Salesforce to add the course progress related list to your contact page layouts:

1. Navigate to Setup > Object Manager > Contact.
2. Click Page Layouts and select your Contact page layout.
3. On the top of the page layout editor, select ‘Related List’ from the palette sidebar.
4. Drag and drop the ‘Courses/Certifications’ element from the palette into the ‘Related Lists’ section of your layout.
5. Click Save.
6. Repeat the above steps for all your desired Contact page layouts.

Configuring the Account Page Layout to View Course Progress in Salesforce

Follow the below steps in Salesforce to add the course progress related list to your account page layouts:

1. Navigate to Setup > Object Manager > Account.
2. Click Page Layouts and select your Account page layout.
3. On the top of the page layout editor, select ‘Related List’ from the palette sidebar.
4. Drag and drop the ‘Courses/Certifications’ element from the palette into the ‘Related Lists’ section of your layout.
5. Click Save.
6. Repeat the above steps for all your desired Account page layouts.
