About the Training Module
The Magentrix Training Module, also referred to as the Learning Management System (LMS), enables administrators to create comprehensive course catalogs with lessons, quizzes, and learning paths for users to access training materials on demand. This powerful learning management system allows organizations to structure educational content into organized courses and sequential learning paths, providing tailored training experiences that guide partners, customers, and employees through essential learning objectives, skill development requirements, and certification processes with tracking and accountability features. The Training Module transforms traditional static training materials into dynamic, interactive learning experiences that adapt to different user types and organizational needs while providing detailed progress tracking, compliance management, and automated notifications to ensure consistent completion and engagement across user communities.
Core Functionality
Course Architecture and Structure
Multi-Chapter Organization: Courses are structured into chapters that represent distinct topics or learning modules within the overall course experience. Each chapter contains lessons and quizzes that users complete to progress through the training material. Flexible Content Types: Courses support diverse content delivery methods including text lessons, file uploads (xAPI), embedded content, YouTube/Vimeo videos, and interactive quizzes that accommodate different learning styles and content requirements. Sequential or Non-Sequential Progression: Administrators can configure courses to require sequential completion where learners must complete lessons in order, or allow non-sequential access for flexible self-paced learning experiences.
Learning Paths
Course Collections: Learning Paths enable administrators to group related courses into structured sequences, creating comprehensive training programs that guide learners through progressive skill development and certification requirements. Progressive Learning: Learning paths support logical progression from foundational to advanced content, ensuring learners develop necessary prerequisite knowledge before advancing to complex topics. Completion Tracking: System-level tracking monitors learner progress across all courses within learning paths, providing visibility into program completion status and identifying learners requiring additional support.
Assessment and Quiz Management
Diverse Question Types: Quizzes support multiple-choice (single and multiple answer), keyword, free text, file upload, and info page question types that enable comprehensive knowledge assessment across different learning objectives. Question Grouping: Question groups with configurable display methods (show all, random order, question pools) provide assessment flexibility and prevent answer memorization in repeated quiz attempts. Marking and Scoring: Automated scoring for multiple-choice and keyword questions, with administrator marking requirements for free text and file upload responses, ensures appropriate assessment rigor for different question types.
User Management and Assignment
Flexible Assignment Options: Administrators can assign courses and learning paths to individual users, user groups, or security roles, enabling targeted training deployment across different organizational segments. Self-Registration: Optional self-registration settings allow learners to enroll in courses independently without administrator approval, supporting autonomous learning initiatives while maintaining administrative oversight capabilities. Request Workflow: Course request functionality enables learners to express interest in training opportunities with administrator approval workflows that ensure appropriate access control and resource allocation.
Progress Tracking and Reporting
Dashboard Analytics: Interactive dashboard charts display course completion trends, assignment statistics, and course request volumes, providing administrators with at-a-glance insights into training activity and engagement levels. Detailed Reports: Comprehensive reports cover courses, course assignments, lessons, quizzes, quiz content, quiz questions, and quiz results, enabling deep analysis of training effectiveness and learner performance patterns. Activity Logging: Chronological activity feeds track all training-related actions including course completions, certificate downloads, content updates, and assignment notifications, supporting audit requirements and troubleshooting needs.
Compliance Management
Compliance Duration Settings: Configurable compliance periods define how long course completions remain valid, with options including forever, specific day counts, or custom timeframes that align with regulatory and organizational requirements. Automatic Retake: System-automated course reassignment before compliance expiration ensures learners maintain current certifications and knowledge levels without manual administrator intervention. Failure Reassignment: Optional automatic reassignment upon course failure ensures learners have opportunities to achieve required competencies while maintaining training program integrity.
Certificate Management
Customizable Templates: Administrators upload Word document certificate templates with merge fields that automatically populate with learner information, course details, and completion dates for professional credential documentation. Badge Integration: Certificate badges support LinkedIn profile integration, enabling learners to showcase completed credentials on professional networks with verification links to organizational certification pages. Automated Distribution: System-generated completion emails include certificate download links, ensuring immediate credential access while reducing administrative overhead for certificate distribution.
