About the Engagement Pages Module
Engagement Pages is the Magentrix landing-page builder. Administrators create branded portal pages by combining a hero (Banner or Carousel) with a stack of widgets that surface content from the modules already configured on the portal – Articles, Document Library, Courses, Events, Dashboards, entity records, and more. Each page can be shared with specific Roles, Groups, or Users, so partners, customers, and employees see only the pages intended for them.
All configuration is done from Setup > Create > Engagement Pages. Pages are served at /pages/<Path>.
Where Configuration Lives
- Engagement Pages list:Setup > Create > Engagement Pages - Create, edit, share, and delete pages.
- Page editor: Opens when you edit a page - configure the hero, add widgets to the main column or sidebar, and adjust per-widget settings.
- Page Settings dialog: Reached from the kebab menu in the editor - rename the page, change its Path, switch layout, or update the description.
Layouts
| Layout | When to Use |
|---|
| Single Column | Full-width content. Best for pages that lead with a banner and a few prominent widgets. |
| Single Column with Sidebar | Main content area plus a narrower sidebar. Use when you want supporting widgets (Key Contacts, Events Calendar, RSS, Reward Summary) alongside primary content. |
Hero Options
Every page can include an optional hero at the top. Choose one of two hero types:
- Banner - A single hero panel with a heading, image, optional buttons, and a Banner Content Type:
- Summary Text - A short message under the heading.
- Search Box - A search input that runs Global Search or Deflection Search (Knowledge Base) directly from the hero. Added in v2026.2.0.
- Carousel - A rotating slideshow built from an existing Carousel record. Use when you want multiple promotional slides.
Banner buttons can route to built-in actions (Pipeline, My Cases, Register a Deal, New Ticket) or to a Custom URL. Custom URLs support merge fields (for example, the current user's ID).
Widget Catalog
Widgets are added in the page editor and arranged in the main column or sidebar. Some widgets require a specific edition, product, or license - those widgets only appear in the picker when the requirement is met.

Use Cases by Feature
Hero Banner with Search
- Self-service entry point. A partner lands on the home page, types a question into the hero search, and gets matching Knowledge Base articles before opening a ticket. Apply this on portals with mature Knowledge Base content where ticket deflection is a goal.
- Cross-portal discovery. Pair the hero search in Global Search mode with a generic landing page so users can find Articles, Wikis, records, and files in one query. Apply this when the page serves a broad audience that doesn't know where to look.
Entity Data Tables
- Surface a partner's deals on their home page. Drop in an Entity Data Tables widget pointed at Opportunity, with columns Name, Stage, Amount, and Close Date, sorted by Close Date Descending. Apply this when partners need a one-click view of pipeline activity without navigating into the entity.
- Pinned record list. Show a filtered grid of records that match a saved filter (for example, Cases with Status = Open assigned to the user's team). Apply this when a recurring list is more useful than a separate list view.
Entity Summary Tiles
- Top-of-page KPIs. Five tiles across the top of a partner home page: total Opportunities, sum of Amount in pipeline, count of open Cases, average Lead Score, and count of Registered Deals this quarter. Apply this when you want a dashboard-style header without committing to a full Dashboard widget.
- Filter-scoped totals. A tile that counts only Cases in the user's region by combining the entity filter with filter logic. Apply this when stakeholders want their own numbers, not portal-wide numbers.
Banner Buttons and Routing
- One-click ticket creation. Configure the second banner button as New Ticket. When Ticket Deflection is enabled, the button routes through the deflection screen so users see suggested articles before submitting.
- Custom URL with merge fields. Create a Custom button whose URL points at an external system that includes the current user's ID or email as a query parameter, and the URL is resolved at click time.
Sharing and Permissions
Engagement Pages are shared, not assigned to roles globally. Each page's sharing rules determine which Roles, Groups, or Users can see it.
- Roles - share a page with one or more Employee, Partner, or Customer Roles.
- Groups - share a page with User Groups (added in v2026.1.0). Useful when audiences cut across roles - a regional team or a tier-based partner cohort.
- Specific Users - grant Manage access to a User who needs to edit the page (for example, a content editor who is not an administrator).
Only administrators can create or delete Engagement Pages. Edit access on an existing page is granted through the page's sharing rules at the Manage access level.
