Lead Conversion for Native and HubSpot

 

In the Magentrix Platform, users can convert leads into opportunities. This is done by converting lead fields to contact, account, and opportunity fields. Administrators will need to enable the lead conversion feature using page layouts and buttons. Administrators can also configure lead conversion settings to customize lead conversion to the company’s workflow. On native and HubSpot portals, administrators can map lead fields to account, contact, and opportunity fields.

Requirements

To configure lead conversion settings, users must be assigned a security role with one of the following settings:

  • Administrator System Role
  • Other Settings: Access Deal Management Enabled

To set up lead conversion:

  1. In the Setup Home page, click Create > Entities.
  2. Select your Lead entity.
  3. Select the Buttons Tab and then click New.
  4. In the Label field, enter "Convert Lead" or the name of the button that will be displayed to users.
  5. In the Button Type field, select Detail.
  6. In the Content-Type field, select URL.
  7. In the Action= field, enter "!UrlFor("convert","leadconvert",[Id=Id])}" or a customized lead conversion link.
  8. In the Visibility field, enter "{!Not(IsConverted)}".
  9. Click Save.
  10. Select the Page Layouts Tab and then click the page layout for which you want to add the lead conversion feature.
  11. Drag and Drop the convert lead button from the sidebar into the Buttons section of the layout designer.
  12. Click Save & Close.

To configure lead conversion field mapping:

  1. In the Setup Home page, click Partner Management > Lead Conversion Settings.
  2. For each Account, Contact, and Opportunity tab, map the lead fields to each entity field by selecting the field from the dropdown.
  3. Click Save.
