Managing Course Details and Structure
The Course Details page provides comprehensive management capabilities for organizing course content, monitoring learner participation, configuring course settings, and managing course assets. This centralized interface enables administrators to build course structure through chapters and lessons, track learner progress, adjust course configuration, and maintain visual and reference materials that support effective training delivery.
Course structure management focuses on organizing content into logical chapters containing lessons and quizzes, with drag-and-drop reordering capabilities supporting flexible content organization as courses evolve. Administrators control content visibility, assessment requirements, and learner progression through strategic chapter and lesson configuration that aligns with learning objectives.

Chapter Naming Best Practices
Use descriptive chapter names that clearly communicate content focus and learning objectives
Maintain consistent naming conventions across chapters for professional course presentation
Consider numbering chapters for explicit sequence indication (e.g., "Chapter 1: Introduction")
Keep chapter names concise while remaining informative for easy navigation
Importing Existing Chapters
Chapter import enables content reuse across courses through linking or cloning, supporting efficient course development and content standardization.
Import Chapter Workflow
1. Click Import Chapter button at bottom of Contents tab
2. Enter chapter name or course name in search field to locate existing chapters

Link Versus Clone Decision
Choose Link when:
Chapter content represents standardized material requiring consistency across courses
Content updates should propagate automatically to all courses sharing chapter
Maintaining single source of truth for content simplifies quality control and version management
Multiple courses deliver identical content to different audiences or user groups
Choose Clone when:
Chapter provides starting point for customized content variation
Course requires modified version of existing chapter without affecting original
Content independence is necessary for different certification or compliance requirements
Experimental content changes should not impact established courses
Chapter Action Menu
Each chapter includes actions menu accessible via three-dot icon, providing comprehensive content addition and chapter management options.

Troubleshooting Tips
Cannot Add Chapter or Lesson
Verify you have appropriate Manage Courses permissions at required scope level
Confirm course is not restricted by sharing settings preventing your modifications
Check that course status allows content additions (both Draft and Published courses support edits)
Refresh browser page if interface controls appear unresponsive
Drag-and-Drop Not Working
Ensure browser supports drag-and-drop functionality (modern browsers required)
Verify you are hovering over correct drag handle before attempting movement
Try refreshing page and attempting drag-and-drop operation again
Check for browser extensions that might interfere with drag-and-drop interactions
Chapter or Lesson Changes Not Saving
Verify all required fields are completed before clicking Save button
Check for validation error messages indicating field completion requirements
Ensure stable internet connection during save operations
Try saving changes again if initial save attempt appears to fail
Imported Chapter Missing Content
Verify you selected Clone option if independent content copy was desired
Check that original chapter contained content at time of import operation
Confirm permissions allow access to content within imported chapter
Review search results carefully before importing to verify correct chapter selection
Learner View Not Displaying Expected Structure
Verify course status is Published for full learner visibility
Check that chapters and lessons have appropriate status settings
Confirm sequential progression settings if lessons appear inaccessible
Review course settings for sidebar display configuration affecting navigation visibility
