Troubleshooting Integration Issues

 

There are several administrative items surrounding maintenance of third-party integrations:

Authentication Credentials

If you are using username/password authentication to integrate Magentrix with an external platform such as Salesforce force.com or Microsoft Dynamics CRM, any changes made to credentials on the external platform can create authentication problems. Check your Integration configurations to ensure that the provided credentials on Magentrix match the credentials on the external platform.

Synchronized Entities and Objects

If you have Magentrix Entities that synchronize with an external platform such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics CRM, any changes made to the database on the external platform can disrupt the synchronization.

The following scenarios can disrupt synchronization but can be fixed by applying the providing fixes:

Removing Fields  Users cannot edit or create records on the Entities or Objects. Refresh Magentrix Entity instance
Removing Entities or ObjectsUsers cannot edit or delete records. User may still be able to view the data in Magentrix. Delete Magentrix Entity instance
Modifying Field Size or TypeUsers may not be able to edit or create records on the Object Refresh Magentrix Entity instance
Marking a field as required  Users may not be able to edit or create records on the Object if the field is not specified as required in Magentrix

 Mark the corresponding field in the Magentrix Entity instance as Required

 Refresh Magentrix Entity instance
