Using MailChimp
With the MailChimp API, Administrators can manage MailChimp List Subscription and Unsubscription for Entities with email fields, such as Contacts and Leads. Account records with emails can be subscribed to and unsubscribed from MailChimp Lists.
Requirements
To enable MailChimp, users must be assigned a security role with the following permissions:
- Administrator System Role
To configure MailChimp as an API provider:
- In the Setup Home page, click Extend > Connected Apps.
- Click New.
- Select API Provider and then click Next.
- Select Basic and then click Next.
- Complete the provided fields with your MailChimp information, credentials, and security token.
- Click Save.
To enable MailChimp integration:
- In the Setup Home page, click Extend > MailChimp.
- Select your MailChimp Account Credentials.
- Click Save.
To start using MailChimp in entities:
- In the Setup Home page, click Extend > MailChimp.
- Click Create Buttons and select the Entity you wish you add a MailChimp button in.
- Click Create.
To add a MailChimp button to an entity page layout:
- In the Setup Home page, click Create > Entities.
- Select the desired Entity that is MailChimp enabled.
- Click the Page Layout tab.
- Select the desired layout.
- On the left sidebar, expand the Buttons menu.
- Select the MailChimp button and drag it to the desired location on the Entity Page Layout.
- Click Save & Close.
To subscribe or unsubscribe to a MailChimp list:
- Navigate to the Entity with MailChimp enabled.
- Select the desired user.
- Click the MailChimp button.
- Subscribe or unsubscribe the user to the desired list(s).
