AI Tools Checklist

Use this checklist to set up Magentrix AI Tools end to end. All configuration is done from a single page: Setup > Manage > Community Settings > AI Tools Settings. Each step links to a detailed article.

Requirements

  • Administrator System Role.
  • A Magentrix license that includes the AI Assistant feature.
  • The Articles, Wikis, and Document Library files you intend to use as knowledge sources should already be published or uploaded.

Foundation Setup

Activating AI Tools Toggle Enable AI at the top of the page and accept the Magentrix AI Services Data and Privacy Policy. The three configuration tabs only appear once activation is complete.


Configuring AI Features

Configuring AI Search and Ticket Deflection On the first tab, enable AI Ticket Deflection (if Case Deflection is configured for your portal) and Semantic Search. Pick the Article Types and Wikis the AI should use for search.

Configuring the Wizard Assistant On the second tab, enable the Wizard Assistant, choose its knowledge sources (Articles, Wikis, Document Library files), assign access to security roles, and personalize the assistant's name, image, and predefined questions.

Configuring MCP Settings (optional) On the third tab, optionally allow the Wizard Assistant to insert, update, or delete records on behalf of users (within each user's existing permissions).


Going Live

Save your changes Click Save at the bottom of the page. Your changes apply immediately. Indexing of selected knowledge sources runs as a background job.

Communicate to users Let your users know which AI features are available to them and where to find the Wizard Assistant.
