Using Social Collaboration with Document Library Files
Users can follow or comment on files in the Document Library when Social Collaboration is enabled on the portal. Following files allows users to receive email notifications whenever the file is commented on, updated, or modified. Requirements
To use Social Collaboration with Document Library files, users must be assigned a security role with the following permissions:
- Folder (system): Read
- Tab Settings, Documents: On
- App Settings: App with the Documents Tab must be Visible
- Social Collaboration must be enabled on the portal

Accessing File Following
- In the Documents Tab, navigate to the file you want to follow
- Click on the file to open the file detail page
