Using the Community Forum
Users can post questions, reply to questions, and mark replies as answers in the Community Forum.
Requirements
To use the Community Forum, users must be assigned a security role with the following permissions:
- All Entities, Community: Read, Create, and Edit
- All Entities, Forum Post: Read and Create
- Tab Settings, Communities: On
- App Settings: App with the Communities Tab must be Visible
To post a question:
- In the Communities Tab, go to the Topic in which you want to ask a question.
- Click Ask a Question.
- In the Subject field, enter a subject title for the post.
- In the editor, enter any information relevant to your question. You can include text, images, or other media.
- If you want to be notified by email when another portal user replies to your question, check Notification Alerts.
- Click Submit.
To reply to posts:
- In the Communities Tab, go to the Community Forum post to which you want to reply.
- Click Reply.
- In the editor, enter a reply to the question. You can include text, images, or other media.
- Click Submit.
To mark replies as answers:
- In the Communities Tab, go to the Community Forum post containing the reply.
- Hover over the reply you want to mark as the answer, and then click Mark as Answer.
