Managing Campaigns within MDF Requests
Partners can manage multiple campaigns within MDF requests through comprehensive campaign-level controls including editing campaign details, managing campaign-specific attachments, monitoring individual approval status, and coordinating campaign execution timelines. Campaign management enables partners to optimize marketing activities within approved requests while maintaining detailed documentation and status tracking for each individual marketing initiative.
Requirements
To manage campaigns within MDF requests, users must be assigned a security role with the following permissions:
- Partner user licensing with MDF access capabilities
- Campaign: Read (Controlled By Account), Create, and Edit (Account Only)
- MDF Request: Read and Edit (Controlled By Account)
- Attachment/File objects: Read, Create, and Edit (Controlled By Parent)
- MDF request must be in Draft status or reverted to Draft by administrators for editing capabilities
Understanding Campaign Management
Individual Campaign Control
Campaign-Level Independence: Each campaign within an MDF request maintains independent status, approval decisions, funding allocations, and documentation requirements, enabling granular management of complex marketing initiatives.
Status-Based Editing Control: Campaign editing capabilities depend on overall MDF request status, with full editing available during Draft status and restricted editing once requests are submitted or approved.
Approval Status Tracking: Individual campaigns receive independent approval decisions from channel managers, allowing mixed approval outcomes within single MDF requests for flexible program management.
Campaign Lifecycle Management
Draft Status Flexibility: Partners can freely add, edit, and delete campaigns while MDF requests remain in Draft status, supporting iterative planning and campaign optimization.
Submission Impact: Once MDF requests are submitted, campaign modifications are restricted to maintain request integrity during administrative review processes.
Post-Approval Management: Approved campaigns enable expense claim submission while maintaining campaign details for reference and reimbursement tracking throughout execution periods.
