Configuring Social Links
Social Links configuration allows administrators to add social media, communication, and contact links to the portal footer, providing users with easy access to your organization's external presence and communication channels.
Requirements
To configure Social Links, you must have:
- Administrator System Role permissions
Configuration Process
Accessing Social Links Configuration
- Navigate to the Setup Home page
- Click Manage > Company Preferences
- Select the Social Links tab
- Configure your organization's external links
Adding Social Links
Adding New Links
- Click Add Link
- In the dialog, use the Select a Platform dropdown to choose an icon and platform type
- Enter the appropriate value in the field below (URL, phone number, or email address)
- Click Add
Available Platform Options
The following platforms and communication channels are available:
Social Media Platforms
- Apple Music: Link to your organization's Apple Music presence
- Blogger: Link to your organization's blog
- Instagram: Link to your Instagram account
- Pinterest: Link to your Pinterest profile
- Spotify: Link to your Spotify presence
- Telegram: Link to your Telegram channel
- Threads: Link to your Threads profile
- TikTok: Link to your TikTok account
- Tumblr: Link to your Tumblr blog
- Vimeo: Link to your Vimeo channel
- WeChat: Link to your WeChat presence
- WhatsApp: Link to your WhatsApp business contact
Media and Content Platforms
- RSS: Link to your RSS feed
- SoundCloud: Link to your SoundCloud profile

- Email: Direct email contact link
- Phone: Direct phone contact link
Link Format Requirements
Social Media and Web Links
- Require valid URLs (e.g., https://www.instagram.com/yourcompany)
- Must include proper URL formatting with protocol (http:// or https://)
Phone Links
- Require valid phone link format
- Should use standard phone number formatting for your region
- May include country codes for international accessibility
Email Links
- Require valid email address format
- Will create clickable email links for users
Managing Existing Social Links
Editing Links
- Navigate to Setup Home > Company Preferences > Social Links tab
- Locate the link you want to modify
- Click the dropdown arrow next to the link
- Click Edit
- In the dialog, update the URL, phone number, or email address
- Click Edit to save changes
Reordering Links
- Use the up/down reordering arrows on the left side of each link to drag and reorder
- Links appear in the theme footer in the same order as displayed in the configuration
- Arrange links in order of importance or user preference for optimal user experience
Deleting Links
- Click the dropdown arrow next to the link you want to remove
- Click Delete
- Confirm the deletion to permanently remove the link

- Social links appear as recognizable icons in the portal footer
- Links typically open in new tabs/windows to avoid taking users away from the portal
- Icons are displayed in the order configured in the Social Links settings
