About Magentrix Tabs

The Magentrix platform manages user access and navigation through Apps and Tabs.

Tabs access individual pages within the portal. Tabs are singular elements of the main portal navigation menu that is determined by assigned Apps. Tabs must be added to Apps and assigned in security roles for users to access them.

There are four types of Magentrix Tabs:

Entity Tabs
Entity Tabs access Magentrix Entities or Salesforce Objects and the records found within.
Web Tabs
Web Tabs embed external websites into iFrames within the portal. Web Tabs allow users to visit and access external sites without leaving the portal.
Active Page Tabs
Active Page Tabs access Active Pages — customized webpages with advanced content.
Link Tabs
Link Tabs access custom or external URLs. This allows for passing parameters from the current page to the destination page, such as values from Merge Fields. Link Tabs are also used to dynamically direct users to internal portal pages.
