Deal Registration Forms

The Deal Registration Forms module enables administrators to create and manage the forms that partners use to submit deal registrations. Each form is based on the Lead entity and can be configured with custom layouts, default values, visibility rules, and sharing permissions. Administrators control access to each form through Magentrix security roles and user groups, ensuring appropriate access control for partners, customers, and employees across different communities.

To access this page, navigate to Partner Management > Deal Registration Forms.

List View

The main page displays all existing deal registration forms in a table with a search bar and a New button in the top-right corner.

Search

A keyword search field filters the list of forms by name. Type your search term and the list updates automatically.

Creating a New Deal Registration Form

Clicking the New button opens a dialog titled "Deal Registration Form". The first field you must complete is Form Type, which determines how the form will be built and which additional fields are displayed.

FieldTypeDescription
Form Type (Required)DropdownDetermines how the form is built. Selecting a value dynamically changes the fields displayed below. See the two options described in detail in the sections that follow.

Form Type: Active Page

An Active Page form links to an existing Active Page that has already been designed in the system. When a partner opens this deal registration form, they will see the selected Active Page rendered as the form interface. This option is ideal when you have already built a custom page using the Active Pages feature and want to reuse it for deal registration.

FieldTypeDescription
Active Page (Required)LookupSearch and select an existing Active Page to use as the form.
Name (Required)Text inputThe display name of the deal registration form as it will appear in the list view and to partners.
DescriptionTextareaAn optional description of the form's purpose.
Active Pages must be shared with the appropriate security roles before they are visible to partners. If the Active Page is not shared, partners will not be able to access the form.

Click Save to create the form.

Form Type: Custom Form

A Custom Form uses the built-in Layout Designer — a drag-and-drop form builder where you can add fields, sections, HTML snippets, JavaScript, and other elements. This is the most common option and gives you full control over the form layout without needing to create an Active Page separately.

When selecting this option, you can either choose an existing custom form layout from the dropdown or select --New Form-- to create a brand new blank form layout from scratch.

FieldTypeDescription
Custom Form (Required)DropdownSelect an existing custom form layout to associate with this deal registration form, or select --New Form-- to create a new blank layout. The dropdown only lists form layouts that are not already assigned to another deal registration form.
Name (Required)Text inputThe display name of the deal registration form as it will appear in the list view and to partners.
DescriptionTextareaAn optional description of the form's purpose.
All available custom form layouts are listed in the dropdown, but only one can be selected at a time. If you need a new layout, select --New Form-- to create one from scratch.

Click Next to proceed to the Layout Designer, where you can configure the form's fields and sections.

Post-Save Behavior

After successfully creating a new form, a confirmation dialog appears recommending that you share the form with your partners. Click Share to open the Sharing settings and configure access.

To configure or update the form layout at any time, return to the list view, click the Actions dropdown on the form, and select Configure Form Layout.

Actions Dropdown Menu

Each form row in the list view has an Actions dropdown button. Clicking it reveals the following options:

ActionDescription
SharingOpens the Sharing settings to manage which security roles and groups can access the form.
Configure Form LayoutOpens the Layout Designer page where you can add, remove, and arrange fields and sections on the form.
EditOpens the Edit page where you can change the form's name, description, and form type.
DeletePermanently deletes the form after confirmation.

Delete Confirmation

When Delete is selected, a confirmation dialog appears asking you to confirm the deletion. The dialog displays the name of the form being deleted and provides a Cancel button to abort or a Delete button to confirm.

Deleting a deal registration form is permanent and cannot be undone. Ensure the form is no longer in use before deleting it.

Edit Deal Registration Form

The Edit page allows you to modify the basic properties of an existing deal registration form. It contains a collapsible section titled "Deal Registration Information".

FieldTypeDescription
Name (Required)Text inputThe display name of the deal registration form.
DescriptionTextareaAn optional description of the form's purpose.
Form Type (Required)DropdownThe type of form: Active Page or Custom Form. Changing this value updates the conditional fields below.

When Form Type is set to "Active Page", an Active Page lookup field appears where you can search for and select an Active Page.

Click Save to apply your changes, or Cancel to return to the list view without saving. Both buttons appear at the top-right and bottom-right of the page.

The Sharing settings control which security roles and groups have access to the deal registration form. To open it, click the Actions dropdown on the form row and select Sharing.
