Scheduled Jobs Checklist

Use this checklist to review, tune, or add Scheduled Jobs on your portal. All configuration is at Setup > Manage > Scheduled Jobs.

Review the Standard Jobs

☐ Review Standard Scheduled Jobs Every portal ships with System Jobs (daily), System Quick Tasks (every 10 min), Digest Email Notifications (every 200 min), and Mingle Email Notifications (every 5 min). Confirm each is enabled and running.

☐ Confirm each shipped job's Status is Idle. A row stuck on Pending or Processing indicates a stalled or in-flight execution — see Scheduled Jobs Troubleshooting.

Set Up Any Custom Jobs

☐ Create a new Scheduled Job For any repeating work that runs against a portal URL — a nightly cleanup, a periodic export, a per-campaign sync — add a job with the target URL as the Action and the desired Interval (in minutes).

☐ Convert local times to UTC. Starts On and Ends On are stored in UTC. If you want a job to run at 6 AM in your local time zone, enter the equivalent UTC time in Starts On.

☐ Set a realistic Interval. Every-minute jobs (Interval = 1) are supported but rarely justified. Match the interval to how quickly the underlying data actually changes.

Tune Existing Jobs

☐ Adjust Interval on jobs that run too often or too rarely. All shipped jobs are safe to re-interval — open the job and change Interval. Changes apply on the next dispatch cycle.

☐ Turn on Auto Adjust Duration where the workload is variable. When enabled, the platform can increase frequency during high-volume periods and back off during quiet periods.

☐ Disable jobs you do not use. Rather than deleting a shipped job, uncheck Enabled. You can re-enable it later without recreating.

Verify

☐ Wait one full interval and reopen the list. A healthy job's Status returns to Idle and its Last Fire Time reflects the recent run.

☐ Check the Event Log for errors. Scheduled Job failures are recorded in Setup > Manage > Event Logs. Filter by the affected time window to spot problems.
