Troubleshooting Tips
The following troubleshooting scenarios address common issues administrators may encounter when configuring Deal Management Settings.
Notifications are not being sent after enabling them
Verify that an email template has been selected for the notification. Most notification settings require both the checkbox to be enabled and an email template to be assigned. Also confirm that the recipient field is populated — for internal notifications, either the owner notification must be enabled or email addresses must be provided.
Partner cannot edit opportunities through the amendment form
Check whether the Prevent partners from editing closed opportunities setting is enabled and the opportunity in question is in a closed stage. If the partner should be allowed to edit it, either disable this setting or ensure the opportunity is in an open stage.
Extension request button is not visible to the partner
The extension request button only appears within the configured visibility window. Check the Extension Request Button Visibility setting and verify that the current date is within the specified number of days before the Exclusivity Expiration Date. Also confirm that the Exclusivity Expiration Date field is mapped in the Opportunity Tracking Fields section and has a value on the opportunity record.
Reminder emails are not being sent
Verify that reminder notifications are enabled and that at least one reminder day value is configured. Ensure that Reminder 1 is set to a greater number of days than Reminder 2. Confirm that the Exclusivity Expiration Date field is mapped and has a value on the opportunity records in question.
"Assign Lead Owner" setting is not visible
This setting only appears when your organization is connected to an external CRM (Salesforce, Dynamics CRM, HubSpot, or SAP Cloud for Customer). On instances using the native Magentrix CRM, lead ownership is managed internally and this setting is not applicable.
Opportunity stage does not update when expiration date is reached
Verify that the Update the opportunity stage setting is enabled on the Deal Closing Extension tab. If your Opportunity entity uses multiple record types, ensure stages are configured for each record type.
Email template fields are not populating in notifications
Verify that the email template references fields from the correct entity. Deal Registration notifications use Lead entity fields, Deal Amendment Form and Deal Closing Extension notifications use Opportunity entity fields. Check that field API names in the template match the current field names on the entity.
